Interior CS Kindiki transfers 12 County Commissioners in fresh reshuffle

Interior Cabinet Secretary Prof. Kithure Kindiki has announced a reorganization of personnel at Harambee House in a bid to enhance service delivery across National Government Administration cadres.

In a posting order seen by Citizen Digital on Thursday, Kindiki announced that Njenga Miiri has been appointed Internal Security Principal Administrative Secretary (PAS), replacing  Wilson Njenga who retired last year. 

Jacob Narengo and Mohammed Barre will on the other hand serve as Internal Security Secretary and Peace Building Secretary respectively.

Kindiki likewise announced the transfer of 12 county commissioners to different working stations across the country.

These include; Abdirisack Jaldesa (moved from Mombasa to Nyandarua), Mohamed Nur (Tana River to Mombasa), Erastus Mbui (Kitui to Laikipia), Joshua Nkanatha (Kiambu to Murang’a), Jacob Ouma (Turkana to Meru) and Henry Wafula (Samburu to Makueni)

The remaining half dozen comprise; Kipchumba Rutto (Busia to Kitui), Onesmus Kyatha (Nyamira to Samburu), Susan Waweru (Nairobi to Siaya), Apollo Okello (West Pokot PA to RC Rift Valley), Hiram Kahiro (Ministry Headquarters to  Kwale) and  Patrick Mukuria (Murang’a to Kisii).

Five County Commissioners have also been summoned back to the Interior ministry headquarters in Nairobi.

They are; Mohamed Barre (previously stationed at Nyandarua Ministry Headquarters), Joseph Kanyiri (Laikipia Ministry Headquarters), Isaac Masinde (Narok Ministry Headquarters), Tom Anjere (Kisii Ministry Headquarters), and Jude Wesonga (Kajiado Ministry Headquarters).

Kindiki added that 24 County Commissioners have been ordered to remain at their current stations.

They include; Josephat Biwott (Kilifi), Louis Rono (Lamu), Josephine Onunga (Taita Taveta) Karuku Ngumo (Wajir), Amos Mariba (Mandera), Nobert Komora (Marsabit), Geoffrey Omoding (Isiolo), Wesley Koech (Tharaka Nithi), Jack Obuo (Embu), Josephine Ouko (Machakos), Pius Murugu (Nyeri) and Tobiko Naiyoma (Kirinyaga).

Others are; Gideon Oyagi (Trans-Nzoia), Eddyson Nyale (Uasin-Gishu), John Korir (Elgeyo-Marakwet), Caroline Nzwili (Nandi), Stephen Kutwa (Baringo), Loyford Kibaara (Nakuru), Dr. Ahmed Omar (Bomet) Gilbert Kitiyo (Kericho), Felix Watakila (Vihiga), Thomas Sankei (Bungoma), Moses Lilan (Homa Bay) and David Gitonga (Migori).

The interior CS additionally announced the promotion and subsequent posting of 12 deputy county commissioners promoted to county commissioners namely; David Koskei (Masinga to Tana River), Mohamed Ramadhani (TransMara to West Garissa),  Julius Kavita (Kirinyaga Central to Turkana), Khalif Abdillahi (Nakuru West to West Pokot), Reuben Lotiatia (Mt. Elgon to Narok) and James Taari (Kajiado North to Kajiado)

The rest are;  Mwangi Meru (Kwale to Kakamega), Mwachaunga Chaunga (Turkana West to Busia), Benson Leparmorijo (PA/RC Central to Kisumu),  Duncan Darusi (Narok West to Kiambu), John Cheruiyot (Ministry Headquarters to Nyamira) and David Wanyonyi (Mathira East to Nairobi).
