If there's someone to send Ruto packing in 2027, it is Kalonzo - Senator Wambua

Kitui County Senator Enock Wambua
Senator Wambua holds that Kalonzo is fit to oust President Ruto from power in the 2027 General Election due to his massive support base across the nation.
He said that Kalonzo will finally front his name in the presidential ballot after eons of unsuccessfully supporting other candidates.
"For the longest time Kalonzo has been supporting other presidential candidates. Even in the 2022 elections, he was not a running mate, but his loyal supporters supported Raila Odinga and voted in bigger numbers than what he got from Nyanza," he told Citizen TV on Thursday.
"If there is a leader in Kenya who can send Ruto home in 2027, it is Kalonzo."
The legislator added that Kalonzo's eye on the presidential race will not be deterred by his camaraderie with equal top leaders in the opposition political front.
Kalonzo has been hinting at a mass coalition mainly consisting of his allies, that will unseat President Ruto in 2027.
Some of his allies include Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua and her Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K) counterpart Eugene Wamalwa.
Wamalwa has hinted that the new political team mainly consists of leaders who took part in propelling the late President Mwai Kibaki to power in 2002 under the Kenya African National Union (KANU) party.
"Justin Muturi joined our team, Fred Matiang'i (former Interior Cabinet Secretary) is joining our team, the team is coming together. Martha Karua is already in our team. You see that 2002 team coming back together, and we are rebuilding the NARC moment for 2027," he once told NTV.
Meanwhile, Gachagua has said that the opposition has devised a plan to face Ruto and he will unveil the details of the plan in December 2026.
He emphasized Kalonzo would play a pivotal role in the decision-making process.
