Ida Odinga lashes out at politicians speaking ill of Raila after election loss

Ida Odinga, the wife of Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga, has castigated a section of politicians in the Nyanza region against attacking her husband for his failure to clinch the presidency in the August 9 elections.

Some politicians from the region have been faulting Mr Odinga after he lost to President William Ruto in the polls.

The leaders, including those who contested and similarly failed, claim it is Odinga’s fault that most of them did not make it.

But Mama Ida has told the politicians not to make fun of her husband’s loss in the election.

Speaking on Monday during a thanksgiving prayer organized by Homa Bay Woman Representative Joyce Osogo in Homa Bay Town, she accused some of the critics of abandoning her family.

According to Mrs Odinga, some of the politicians spent time at her house before the election but have now turned against her family.
