HR Manager Charged For Sending Insulting SMS

Peninah Nkamba Murungi has been charged with sending an abusive text message contrary to Communication Act .

It is alleged that on 1st July 2014, the 40 year old lady sent a KCB debt collector an abusive text  saying “Be professional , I intend to register my disappointment with KCB’s highest office and withdraw my stuff from KCB , ng’ombe wewe”

The woman in mitigation said that Symons Nyongesa Musamali kept on bothering her over Kshs 604,981 loan debt she had promised to settle after a maternity leave.

Murungi pleaded guilty to the charges and was fined Kshs 30,000 failure to which she will be committed to 6 months in jail.
