HR exam body certifies over 700 HR professionals across Kenya
The candidates drawn from both the public and private sectors, were certified under the revised CHRP curriculum, marking a significant milestone in HRMPEB’s mission to elevate human resource standards in Kenya.
The event was graced by key government officials, including Justin Muturi, Cabinet Secretary for Public Service, and Amos Gathecha, Principal Secretary for Public Service.
"As we focus on public service delivery and performance, HR professionals are key to this success. Through certification programs like CHRP, we are building a stronger workforce capable of meeting our country's development needs,” said CS Muturi
Since the program's inception, over 3,700 HR professionals have become certified, and HRMPEB Chairperson Sharon Kisire celebrated this growing community of credentialed experts.
The board’s recent accreditation by the Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA) has elevated CHRP certification to new heights, making it widely recognized both locally and internationally.
“The 5th CHRP Certification Ceremony is not just a celebration of individual achievement but a testament to HRMPEB’s ongoing efforts to uphold the integrity of the profession and contribute to Kenya’s economic growth. With the backing of government and industry leaders, the future of HR in Kenya looks brighter than ever," remarked Kisire.
HRMPEB has introduced new examination windows in April August and December and expanded its curricula to offer more flexibility and access to candidates. The board is committed to working closely with stakeholders and government bodies to uphold the integrity of the HR profession and contribute to the nation’s workforce development.
