Herdsman, 36, dies by suicide after burning down ex-employer's house

According to reports, the 36-year-old was recently let go from his position at the homestead, where he had been employed for some time.

It is reported that following his dismissal, he went back to the homestead and set fire to a tractor, hay store, and other buildings within the compound.

The hay store was completely razed to the ground in photos from the incident seen by Citize.Digital. 

Later on, the herdsman's body was discovered hanging from one of the compound's trees.

Police officers from the Kithyoko police station are investigating the incident.
