Heads Of State Meet Over LAPSSET Project

Meanwhile, private investors will soon be invited to participate in the financing of the multi billion shillings Lamu Port, South Sudan, and Ethiopia transport corridor project better known as the LAPSSET project. This is the decision that was reached during a meeting at State House, Nairobi that was chaired by President Uhuru Kenyatta bringing together the heads of state of Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia and South Sudan. And as Patrick Igunza reports, the four regional leaders have set their sights on the upcoming U.S Africa summit as the launch pad for their bid to raise private capital for the ambitious infrastructure project.
