Guard killed as thugs break into school in Kangundo

The school is located in Kathaan Market along Kangundo Machakos highway in Kangundo Sub County.

According to Patrick Nzioka, the young brother to the late watchman, he was called in the morning by one of the cooks who informed of the news. 

Nzioka said he found the school guard lying dead, with blood oozing from the mouth and nose. 

The late watchman is the 7th born in his family and had started working in the school a week ago.

 Athanus Ndolo Mutinda, an eye witness and a businessman in the area called for investigations into the matter, as it came just months after a watchman was killed in Kyamulendu secondary and primary school. 

He said the crime wave is rising and it seems there is an organised gang terrorising the area.

Lucas Ndambo Mutuku, the assistant chief of Kathaana sub location confirmed the burglary and murder of the watchman, saying he informed the area OCPD, OCS among other security officials who rushed to the scene to conduct investigations. 

Police have since picked the body and taken it to Kangundo hospital mortuary.
