Four-year-old child among 4 killed in head on collision in Kajiado
The collision involved a saloon car which lost control and collided head-on with an oncoming lorry.
According to police reports, the occupants in the saloon car who lost their lives comprised two female adults, one male adult and a four-year-old child.
The accident was reported by Loitoktok Police Station.
Fatal road accidents have been on the rise in the past year, indicating the dire concern over traffic rules adherence along the road.
The latest data from the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) indicated that 7,198 people have been involved in road accidents from January 1 to April 1, 2024. This marked an increase of 1,908 fatalities recorded during the same period in 2023.
From this, 1,189 died from the accidents, 3,316 suffered grave injuries and 2,693 incurred minor injuries.
