Death toll in Kisii building collapse rises to five

Five people have been confirmed dead, and others are still trapped after a three-story building collapsed in Bonchari Constituency, Kisii County. 

In the Sunday morning incident, a building under construction collapsed, falling on nearby houses that had nearly six people inside. 

An emergency response team led by the Kenya Red Cross Society is conducting rescue and retrieval operations. 

Five people had been retrieved, three of whom were hospitalized in critical condition.
