Former CAS David Osiany to hand over office to 7 incoming Chief Administrative Secretaries

David Osiany

We are used to seeing the usual government handovers where the former welcomes the new boss in town and they share some pleasantries, mostly for the cameras, they pose for a photo and move on with their lives.

But that will be quite different for one David Osiany, the former Chief Administrative Secretary for the Ministry of Industrialization, Trade & Enterprise Development who will be handing over to seven, yes, seven new CASs.

Osiany was also acting CAS at East African Community, The ASALs & Regional Development as well as Ministry of Cooperatives & MSMEs which was a shared function between the Trade and Agriculture Ministry.

President William Ruto on Thursday appointed a staggering 50 new CAS up from 29 from his predecessor Uhuru Kenyatta.

For that reason, there are ministries with a staggering three CAS each while the rest, save for two - Ministry of Energy and Petroleum and Ministry of Defence - have two each.

At the Ministry of Industry, Trade & Investment, Osiany will hand over Evans Kidero, Vincent Kemosi Mogaka and Lilian Cheptoo Tomitom.

He will then move over to the Ministry of Corporatives & MSMEs where he will welcome Margaret Wanjiru and Amos Chege Mugo.

Mr Osiany will then rush over to the Ministry of EAC, ASALs & Regional Dev’t where he will hand over to Mwanamaka Mamruki- Ministry of EAC, ASALs & Regional Development.
