First Lady Rachel hosts retired Bishop who officiated her wedding to President Ruto

First Lady Rachel Ruto on Friday hosted Retired African Inland Church (AIC) Bishop Silas Yego at State House in Nairobi.

Mrs. Ruto revealed that Bishop Yego had presided over her wedding to President William Ruto, adding that he has always been on the frontline guiding her family.

“It was a delight to host Retired Bishop Silas Yego of the African Inland Church (AIC) at State House, Nairobi,” she wrote on Twitter.

“Bishop Silas, who officiated my wedding with William, is a father figure and we are grateful for his many years of service to the church and the nation.”

The meeting with the ex-bishop follows other subsequent visits by religious leaders from the continent in the first week of President Ruto’s ascension to office.

On Wednesday, the First Lady also welcomed two prophets namely Dr Ian Ndlovu of the Divine Kingdom Baptist Church in Zimbabwe and Ghana’s Victor Kusi Boateng.
