Family seeks justice after kin stabbed to death in Njiru

A family in Nairobi’s Njiru estate is in mourning after one of their kin was stabbed to death by unknown assailants.

The family of Mbutia Mwangi says the deceased was attacked on Saturday night by an armed gang that robbed him of his valuables.

The incident has left the family in agony, with members decrying a rise in crime rates, especially such incidents where locals are attacked by marauding armed gangs.

Police say they are pursuing the assailants who made away with the deceased's mobile phone.

Locals say the nearby Twiga Police Station has been doing little to ensure their safety.
