Energy PS tops list of impactful gov't officials, mining and maritime PSs also recognised
According to a survey conducted between November 18 and 25, Wachira leads with a 67.4% rating. He was highly mentioned for engaging Members of Parliament, engaging investors in solutions for generation of green renewable energy and the last mile connectivity initiative.
Mining PS Elijah Mwangi scored 63.2% in the Politrack Africa poll where his impact was seen in fostering partnerships that promote skills of mining communities, promoting mineral value addition and efforts against illegal mining operations to counter exploitation of local communities.
Shipping and Maritime Affairs PS Geoffrey Kaituko was ranked third with a 63% score.
Kaituko’s impact was recognized in enabling collaborations with international organizations and training youths to scale up local production of safety materials or use by fishermen and coxswains, while at sea.
The Maritime PS was also recognized for collaborating with international marine entities to recruit local seafarers and forge partnerships with training institutions and enhancing linkages among global and local shipping stakeholders.
The top ten list also encompasses Public Health PS Mary Muthoni, Joseph Mbugua (Roads), Raymond Omollo (Interior), Abubakar Hassan (Investment), Ephantus Kimotho (Irrigation), Mohamed Dhagar (Transport) and Charles Hinga (Housing).
Teresiah Mbaika (Devolution), Chris Kiptoo (Treasury), Julius Bitok (Citizen Services), Nixon Korir (Lands) and Festus Ng’eno (Environment & Climate Change) were also named among the impactful officials.
