The Ethics
and Anti-Corruption Commission has won a land recovery case it had filed
against Alexander Sitieney, a former Aide De Camp to former President Moi and
former Commissioner of Lands Wilson Gachanja.
The
Environment and Lands Court in Nakuru on Friday ruled that the 2-acre piece of
land was set aside for public utilities by the Pyrethrum board of Kenya by the
time the land was allocated to the first defendant Alexander Sitieney in 1996.
Justice
Anthony Ombyayo further ruled that Sitieney did not acquire the title
procedurally as it was public land.
EACC
estimates that the land's market value is Ksh.150 Million.
