Drama at SDA church in Imara Daima as worshippers lock gate
Leadership wrangles have rocked the Seventh
Day Adventists (SDA) church in Imara Daima.
The church was under lock and key on Saturday
morning, with a section of the faithful accusing the outgoing pastor of
mismanaging funds.
While it was to be the pastor’s farewell
ceremony, disgruntled members of the church demanded accountability from the
pastor and his team.
The church, which also runs a school, is said
to have emptied its bank accounts in unclear circumstances.
The members have demanded bank statements
from the church and the school.
Those keen on having Saturday’s service were
forced to conduct it outside.
