Drama as woman attempts to jump off 12-storey building in Kericho

Drama unfolded in Kericho town on Wednesday after a middle-aged woman climbed to the top of the Huduma Centre building and attempted to jump to her death.

Members of the public who noticed the woman standing on top of the 12-storey building and attempting to jump raised alarm, attracting the attention of officers stationed on different floors.

The officers then made haste to make contact with the lady and convinced her to abort her mission.

The lady is said to have lamented her challenges to some of the officers and, after a lengthy talk, she gave in and climbed down.

She was later booked for counselling at the nearby Kericho County Referral Hospital.
