Dr. Virginia Wamuyu Kimani installed as Alupe University Chancellor

The graduation saw 158 students awarded degrees as six were conferred diplomas across five departments.
While speaking at the ceremony, Vice-Chancellor Professor Peter Barasa appreciated Kimani as a great supporter of the system who has helped in the transformation of Alupe University.
Senior Council Kenneth Akide shed light on the legal aspect of the Chancellor's role, formalizing the transition of responsibilities.
As the newly appointed chancellor, Kimani promised to ensure that resources committed by the national and county governments are put to prudent use.
Kimani, in her maiden speech, took pride in the university's achievements, commending the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Barasa.
"As Alupe University Council, we are pleased with the strides that the university continues to make concerning development and research," she stated.
"The management of the university under the leadership of our Vice Chancellor, Prof Baraza, continues to make significant strides towards the attainment of our vision to be a centre of academic excellence and to establish a niche in the sciences," she added.
