Detectives demand repeat of Memusi Sankok's autopsy
An autopsy conducted on Tuesday, May 3, showed that Memusi’s death was caused by a bullet that entered through his chin and exited at the top of his head.
Police probing the tragic incident have, however, expressed doubts, ordering a fresh autopsy on his body to ascertain whether the minor died by suicide or someone else was involved in the May 2 incident.
To remove doubts, the officers from the homicide unit of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have ordered the autopsy conducted again for forensic analysis by the government pathologist.
Following the latest developments surrounding the child’s death, the family has been forced to cancel burial plans that were set for Tuesday, May 10.
“As a committee, we have decided that the burial set for Tuesday will be reviewed due to some family members who are traveling. We will give a comprehensive statement on Monday,” said Narok East MP Ken Aramat.
Detectives have been visiting the home of the legislator in Narok, interrogating family members and staff as they try to piece together Memusi Sankok's last moments.
He had reportedly disagreed with his father about returning to school.
Early Saturday, the sleuths were back again but did not record statements.
