Court to rule on ownership of Ksh.400M firm claimed by Kenyan and Rwandese investors

Justice Alfred Mabeya is on December 27 expected to deliver a ruling on who owns Ksh.400 million worth Techfirm - Stay Online Limited.

In the case, Rwandese investor Desire Muhinyuza and Kenyan businessman Kirimi Koome are in court over the ownership of the company.

Parties in the case have testified before Justice Mabeya both claiming ownership of the business.

On Thursday, December 21, Muhinyuza narrated to the court how he trusted Koome and went ahead to invest his business with him. 

He testified that at the time, he couldn't register the company in Kenya because he lacked pre-requisite papers, therefore trusted Koome who he alleges that he betrayed him later. 

On cross examination, Koome who also says that he is the owner of the company said that although money channelled for the business came from Rwanda, Stay online limited was his company since he registered it.

During the hearing, a former DCI officer Daniel Guru told the court that he used a stereo microscope nexus zoom 190 to examine signature specimen provided by Koome Kirimi’s lawyer.

However lawyer representing Muhinyuza, Danstan Omari, put him to task to explain why he used the said machine when he knows that it’s a Video spectra comparita 6000 that’s used for it.
