Columbia Africa opens Ruiru Clinic to expand access to outpatient care

The facility offers consultations in paediatrics, family medicine, dermatology, and internal medicine, along with specialized care in ophthalmology, orthopaedics, dentistry, and obstetrics & gynaecology.

Diagnostic services include radiology, ultrasound, mammography, a modern laboratory, and non-invasive cardiology assessments. A pharmacy and café are also available on-site.

Dr John Tole, Medical Advisor at Columbia Africa, emphasized the clinic’s goal of delivering high-quality, accessible healthcare: "We aim to provide Ruiru residents with the same standard of care available in top hospitals while ensuring affordability."

Dr. Linda Thorpe, Clinical Coordinator at Columbia Africa stated: "We believe that quality healthcare should not be a privilege but a right for all."

To promote preventive care, the clinic offers discounted wellness packages, free follow-up consultations within 72 hours, and reduced rates on certain screenings. The clinic operates Monday to Saturday.
