Citizen TV's Waihiga Mwaura named among the Top 25 Men in Digital

Mr. Mwaura doubles up as a new anchor and Managing Editor – Multimedia, at Royal Media Services.

In his additional role as the Managing Editor – Multimedia, Mr. Mwaura has championed the digital transformation journey for Royal Media Services and introduced innovative products under Citizen Digital to increase audience reach, optimize user experiences as well as increase revenue.

The Top Men in Digital award by SOMA, one of the most influential digital transformation firms in Africa, was created in 2018 to recognize men doing great work for personal, industry and community growth. 

The inaugural 25 top men in digital announcement was done in November 2018 in Nairobi.

"Men in Digital is a platform for men to tap into digital opportunities through regular events that bring together men as entrepreneurs, inventors and business leaders to engage in discussions on new ways of taking digital to the next level," states SOMA.

Other honorees for this year's Men In Digital Award include fintech expert Munyi Nthigah, Mdundo music service app founder Martin Nielsen, creative director Max Ngari, Jumia Kenya CEO Juan Seco, Edgar Kipngetich of Bolt Food, ABSA Bank's CTO Moses Okundi among others.

A similar award is also available for Women in Digital and Youth in Digital.
