Citizen TV YouTube channel was the most watched during Ruto's inauguration

Hundreds of thousands of Kenyans tuned in to Citizen Television's YouTube channel on Tuesday to follow
the proceedings of President William
Ruto's inauguration ceremony, the Media Council of Kenya (MCK) has revealed.
With an average number of 232,387, Citizen TV's YouTube page was the most viewed channel in Kenya on the historic day according to the journalism body.
In a statement on Wednesday, MCK noted that the number of viewers on Citizen TV seesawed between 173,438 and 296,961 viewers during the three-hour period that President Ruto's inauguration ceremony lasted for.
MCK tracked the viewership
from between 12:45 pm and 3:30 pm with the highest average viewership recorded,
across the board, at 1315hrs when former President Uhuru Kenyatta officially
handed over to President William Ruto.
NTV Kenya's YouTube
channel came in second in the rankings, according to MCK, with an average
viewership of 67,908 followed by the Nation at 24,596.
KBC and KTN News'
YouTube channels rounded up the top 5 slots on the list with a mean of 18,368
and 17,784 viewers respectively.
K24 (4,540), KTN Home (4,410), Africa Uncensored (2,636), Inooro TV (1,521), Kameme TV (1,074), TV47 (811), Kenyans (324) and Switch TV (123) made up the rest of the list.
