Charlene Ruto leads coffee planting drive in Murang'a

President William Ruto's daughter, Charlene Ruto, on Friday joined Murang'a Deputy Governor Stephen Munania in the planting of coffee seedlings at a two-acre demonstration farm in the county.

"During this visit, we got to see different types of coffee beans produced in the ever so robust Muran'ga County," said Charlene in a tweet after the session.

Charlene added that she has a particularly good time interacting with youth who joined them during the coffee planting drive.

"My point of joy was interacting with young people who joined us as we mobilized them to embrace coffee farming," she said.

"We discussed creation of income generating opportunities in the coffee industry without waiting for white collar jobs & shared on the Coffee Value Chain in Agriculture."
