Catholic Bishops appoint Fr. Jude Waweru as KCCB General Secretary
Waweru, whose appointment took effect on January 2, 2024, succeeds Fr. Ferdinand Lugonzo, who has been assigned to establish a new parish in the Catholic Diocese of Kakamega.

On the same occasion, KCCB Principle Administrator Archbishop Maurice Muhatia congratulated Waweru, expressing belief in his knowledge, skills, and experience to contribute to the work entrusted to him.
Muhatia called for collaboration from clergy, religious, and lay employees, in anticipating to ensure Waweru effectively carries out his duties in alignment with the expectations of the Bishops, focusing on evangelization and coordination of bishops' activities.
KCCB Deputy General Secretary Fr. Bernard Ngaruya pledged collaborative efforts to enhance the functioning of the secretariat with new energy.
