Briko Homes launches clinic to support mental health care in Kenya

Briko Homes Limited, a leading real estate firm in Kenya, has launched the Snapback Recovery Clinic, a new mental health facility located in Muguga, Ruiru, aimed at addressing the country’s growing mental health crisis.

Kenya continues to grapple with rising cases of mental health conditions including depression, bipolar disorder, substance abuse, and suicide. These issues often extend beyond the affected individuals, placing emotional and financial strain on families and caregivers.

The Snapback Recovery Clinic, a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative by Briko Homes, is designed to provide accessible mental health care in a supportive, homely environment. To help lower treatment costs, 5% of Briko Homes' proceeds will be directed to the clinic.

“This clinic is a way for us to give back meaningfully and respond to a real need in our communities,” said Paul Waiganjo, CEO of both Briko Homes and the clinic, during the launch.

Waiganjo noted that the initiative is meant to complement the government's mental health efforts and support families struggling to access affordable care. He thanked the clinic’s medical team for their dedication and Briko Homes customers for making the project possible.

“We encourage Kenyans, including those in the diaspora, to keep supporting Briko Homes. Your investments help make mental health care more accessible to those in need,” he added.
