Bondo MP at pains to explain benefits of his frequent visits to State House
The MP had attended a burial in East Yimbo Ward on Sunday when irate mourners heckled and completely refused to listen to him when he started explaining the reason for which he had been visiting State house against the wishes of his ODM party leadership.
The heckling begun when he mentioned that he is currently working with President William Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza administration for the sake of development, and that his visits to State House have started to bear fruits.
Ochanda tried to explain that some of those issues that drove him to State House were stalled projects such as the construction of Dho Goye Causeway and the impending registration of Yala Swamp into community land but none of them wanted to give him a listening ear.
The section of his constituents continuously heckled him as he underscored some of the benefits that his visit to State house and his association with the Kenya Kwanza government would bring to them.
He however told the hecklers that they should brace themselves for a bigger surprise come 2027 general elections’
Ochanda who continued to speak amid the noises, told them that they will be so much disappointed because there will be no change of administration at national level in 2027.
The Bondo MP is among the eight ODM rebels who had recently been kicked out by the ODM party leadership after they chose to work with the Kenya Kwanza administration.
On September 13, Ochanda was among ODM rebels who visited President William Ruto at State House.
Also present were ODM expelled MPs Elisha Odhiambo (Gem), Caroli Omondi (Suba South), Phelix Odiwuor (Lang’ata) and Kisumu Senator Tom Ojienda.
