The body of a 26-year-old man who went missing in Nairobi on New Year’s Eve after a night of merry-making at a Kasarani joint has been discovered within the same area.

Ian Singoe reportedly traveled to Nairobi from Bomet on December 29, 2024 to finalize some job-related paperwork.

According to Singoe’s mother, Pauline Korir, on the night of December 31, he went out and met some friends at a Kasarani entertainment joint but did not return to the household where he was staying during his visit.

Relatives who checked Singoe's phone claim it was still active at around 1am on January 1, 2025 before eventually going silent.

His body has since reportedly been found in Kasarani Mwiki as investigations into his death commence.

Elsewhere, in Kiambu County, residents of Kawaida area near Banana on Saturday discovered the lifeless body of a 27-year-old man who went missing on Friday afternoon under unexplained circumstances.

The deceased, John Muchiri Muthoni, was last seen on January 3, 2025 at around 3pm.

His girlfriend claims she received a phone call early Saturday morning directing her to the location of his body. Upon arrival, she found the body stripped naked, bearing visible injury marks.

The body has since been moved to Kihara Sub-County Hospital Mortuary, pending a postmortem scheduled for Monday, January 6, 2025.
