Boda boda rider arrested with home-made guns, sword and axe

According to a police report obtained by Citizen Digital, a police team led by OCS Riruta patrolled the Dagoretti area and spotted the boda boda rider heading along the Fish Bay area. 

On suspicion, officers stopped the boda boda rider to interrogate them further, before they recovered a toy pistol from the passenger. 

The suspect agreed to cooperate with the officers, leading them to his house in Kabiria where officers recovered weapons that will aid in investigations. 

"The suspect led officers under the command of OCS Riruta to his house in Kabiria and upon conducting a search in his house a recovery of three homemade pistols, one sword, a small axe, one hacksaw and a police berret," the report read in part. 

The passenger was identified as 26-year-old James Kariuki. 

He was taken into custody at Riruta Police Station.
