Baringo chief shot dead in gunfire exchange with bandits

A Chief has been shot dead in Chipilat, Tiaty Constituency,
Baringo County, while on a mission to recover stolen livestock.
The Chief was shot while engaging bandits
who had raided Ngaratuko area on Thursday evening, with his body being
discovered on early Friday morning after heavy gunfire.
Two people have now been killed in the area in less than a
week, after another person was shot dead on Friday in Ngaratuko.
Baringo Police Commander Julius Kiragu confirmed the
incident on phone saying they’re presently pursuing the bandits.
