Leaders allied to the Azimio la Umoja movement took their campaigns to the doorstep of ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi with rallies in Vihiga County where Mudavadi was accused of attempting to auction the Luhya community for personal gain.

The leaders led by Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho told residents of the Western Kenya region to steer clear of Deputy President William Ruto's Kenya Kwanza alliance which they termed “a union of greed and deceit”.

The Azimio team made stops in Bunyore, Maragoli and Tiriki areas where they called on voters to rally behind Azimio la Umoja presidential hopeful Raila Odinga. Vihiga is the home county of ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi.

The leaders told gatherings that Mudavadi was out to auction the Luhya community for his personal gain.

Suna East MP Junet Mohammed narrated what he described as a series of political blunders by Mudavadi that he said, always dimmed his fortunes.

“Mudavadi you have been deputy prime minister and minister for local government. How can you now go and be Ruto’s storekeeper?” posed Suna East MP Junet Mohamed.

The leaders trashed Ruto's bottom-up economic model saying it was an empty slogan aimed at hoodwinking Kenyans.

They also continued to fire back at Ruto’s sustained attacks on the president.

“Ruto you have to respect our two leaders (Uhuru and Raila)… Tunakuambia ukitukujia tutakukujia na kama ni noma noma..kama mbaya mbaya….,” said Joho.

The Azimio teams continue with their campaigns in the Western Kenya region, with Defense CS Eugene Wamalwa expected to lead the Azimio campaigns in Butere, Kakamega County on Friday.
