A
post-mortem examination conducted on the body of ex-Treasury official Tom
Osinde has revealed that he died from two slash wounds.
Government Pathologist
Dr. Johansen Oduor, who conducted an autopsy on Osinde's body at the Kisii
Teaching and Referral Hospital, revealed that the cuts caused damage to the
brain and injured the spine.
The autopsy,
which lasted for one and a half hours, was aimed at helping homicide detectives
piece together the events that led to his untimely death and solve the murder
puzzle.
Dr Oduor spoke
to Citizen TV on phone and revealed that the slash wounds ran from the back of
the head to the spine, injuring the spine, while the other slash wound went
deep into the brain.
The
vital exercise was carried out on Friday afternoon in the presence of members
of the family and Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) sleuths.
According
to sources within the family, Osinde's body is set to be taken back to a Nakuru
morgue.
Osinde
was last seen alive at his home before his mysterious disappearance on Sunday June
18, 2023, upon which he is presumed to have been murdered before his body was
found floating on River Kuja in Kamagambo, at
the border of Migori and Kisii counties, on June 22.
