Azimio leader Raila Odinga now says that the race for the African Union Commission (AUC) seat is not a matter of life and death for him.

While admitting that he has worthy competitors, Odinga stated that if he does not clinch the chairperson position, he is ready to return to proceed with activities back in Kenya.

The former Prime Minister however expressed confidence in winning the seat, adding that he is ready to serve the African continent.

Odinga made the remarks during the burial of Mzee Richard Oudia in Bondo constituency where his elder brother Oburu Oginga lashed at the human rights activists and politicians who are currently very vocal about issues of abductions.

The Siaya Senator accused the said persons of being selective in demanding justice, arguing that they were silent when Azimio supporters were being killed during the post-election demonstrations in 2022.

Oburu stated that even though two wrongs don't make a right, the demand for justice must be for all.He challenged the leaders also to begin talking about compensation for those who were shot by the police during the post-election demonstrations as well, saying that they should not exercise partial demand for justice.
