Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary-General Francis Atwoli has put up in his office a framed picture of himself and President William Ruto shaking hands.

The picture was taken on December 1, 2022, after Ruto hosted Atwoli at State House Nairobi, where they held discussions touching on Kenya's ratification of the International Labour Organisation (ILO)'s Violence and Harassment Convention, 2019 (C190).

Eagle-eyed Twitter user's noticed Atwoli's decorative portrait after State Department for Gender and Affirmative Action PS Veronica Nduva uploaded pictures of herself holding talks with the COTU boss on Tuesday.

The Ruto photograph can be seen in the background of the pictures uploaded by the PS.

Atwoli was a previously staunch critic of Ruto during the run-up to the last General Election where he (Ruto) was elected President.

The two leaders would call a truce at the end of last year, with Atwoli leading a delegation of Western Kenya leaders to pay a courtesy call on President Ruto at  State House Nairobi.
