Angry parents storm school in Kirinyaga, want headteacher fired over extra tuition fees

Parents paralysed learning at Kangure Primary School in Mwea demanding the removal of headteacher and management board. They are accusing the headteacher of frequently sending their children home to collect remedial teaching fee. The decision to send pupils home for the fee on a day the parents had been called for a meeting triggered the protests. They also complained of deteriorating education standards in the institution.
