ANC party announces nomination fees, persons with disabilities to pay Ksh.25K
Amani National Congress (ANC) party has announced its nomination
fees for candidates eyeing political positions in the forthcoming August general elections.
“We are hereby inviting interested candidates to send an
official letter declaring their intent to vie on our party ticket in any of the
following positions; Governor, Senators, Woman Rep, MPs and MCAs,” read the notice.
All the other interested aspirants are required to submit
their applications before 18th February.
In the statement, all the women and youth aspirants will be
required to pay the same amount in either of the respective positions.
Unlike several other parties, ANC requires Persons with disabilities (PWDs) to pay Ksh 25,000 for all
elective positions except for the county assembly where the aspirant will remit
Ksh 10,000.
For the male candidates seeking gubernatorial nomination tickets, they will be required to part with Ksh 300,000, female candidates and
the youth will be required to pay Ksh.150,000 while persons with disabilities
will pay Ksh.25,000.
For the Senate race tickets, aspirants will pay as follows:
male (Ksh.200,000), female and youth (Ksh.100,000) while for Member of National
Assembly race, male aspirants will pay (Ksh.150,000), female and youth (Ksh.75,000).
For the Woman Representative ticket, the fees will be Ksh.150,000 irrespective of the age group of aspirants.
Male MCA contenders will be required to part with Ksh. 25,000
while their female and youth counterparts will cough out Ksh. 10,000 each.
The notice further required all its payments to be channelled
through the party’s bank account number or via the M-PESA.
