3 men linked to Mlolongo land dispute abducted

Three families in Mlolongo are calling for justice and urgent action after their loved ones were abducted under unclear circumstances.

The families, gripped by fear and uncertainty, are desperately seeking answers from authorities.

“We demand our rights. Wherever our children are, we want them back. Even if they are dead, we just want their bodies. We have suffered a lot,” says Monica Muema, a sister of one of the abductees.

Monica Muema is devastated after her brother, Allan Muema, was allegedly abducted on December 16.

“He was taken by unknown people, they were wearing masks and the car had a hidden number plate. That is how my brother went missing,” Monica shares.

Monica is baffled as to why her brother, a young entrepreneur, was targeted.

“My brother is a hustler, he has his own stall where he sells women’s bags. He is a young man, only 28 years old, not even married.”

She describes a frustrating ordeal trying to seek help from the police.

“I have gone to all police stations in Kiambu looking for my brother, anywhere we go, we are told he has not been seen. We have been moving around with a picture, when we get to a station, we are told they have not seen the face. We were directed to Mlolongo to record an OB, we did so and left a picture there,” Monica narrates.

Duncan Chalo is enduring a similar nightmare as his brother, Justus Mutumwa, went missing last Monday on his way to work in Kamulu.

“He was arrested by masked men presenting themselves as policemen. I don't think anyone else can take someone if not police,” Chalo says.

Chalo is frustrated with the lack of urgency from law enforcement.

“His phone was switched off since 16th. He has never called anyone to say which police station he is held in. I have been to all police stations and prisons within Nairobi and Kajiado but I haven’t found him,” Chalo reports.

Ndeti Mwau is another worried man, searching for his brother who was abducted by unknown individuals last week while at work.

“My brother went missing in unclear circumstances. He was on his motorbike working when he was hijacked. We do not know where he is, those who took him had a vehicle and masks,” he says.
