The Kenya National Human Rights Commission (KNHRC) has revealed that 25 Kenyans are still missing and are unaccounted for as from June last year.

The commission also at the same time said they have recorded 85 abduction cases from the same period in the country.

KNHRC's head of Complaint and Investigation Kamanda Mucheke said the commission is still committed in conducting their probe regarding the widespread vice that has  subjected  the government into both local and international scrutiny.

His sentiments were backed by Amnesty International boss Irungu Houghton and ICJ executive  director Erick Mukoya who reigned upon the govt to end forceful disappearance and abductions in the country.

The trio were  speaking at the entrance of the DCI headquarters along Kiambu Road where two abduction victims Billy Mwangi and Gideon Kibet 'Bull' are  currently recording statements.

The activists warned that the country is likely to plunge into anarchy if the ongoing spate of abductions will not be addressed by the authority even as they called on the government to adhere and uphold the rule of law.
