23-year-old man stabbed to death in his house after leaving a bar in Homa Bay

Police in
Rachuonyo South, Homa Bay County, are investigating an incident where a
23-year-old man was stabbed to death in his house after leaving a bar in Oyugis town
on Wednesday night.
The man,
identified as Moses Akumu, died on the spot after being stabbed on the neck by unknown people for yet-to-be identified reasons.
Akumu’s body was
found on the floor lying in a pool of blood by neighbours who alerted area
security officers.
The deceased was
earlier seen drinking at a bar within Oyugis town before he left the bar for his
rental house.
Rachuonyo South
sub-county Police Commander Lilies Wachira says they are yet to establish the
reasons behind the killing.
This is the second
murder within Oyugis town within this week after another man was stabbed to
death with a knife on Tuesday evening.
Meanwhile, a
24-year-old man was murdered at Ringa trading center in Kojwach location of
Rachuonyo East sub-county on Thursday night.
Elvis Ochieng’ was
attacked and killed at his father’s butchery at around 8pm by unknown people
who escaped with his motorbike, area Chief Caroline Onyango confirmed the
incident.
