22 Sheep Run Over By Trailer

The 22 sheep were killed on the spot near Mirera center and many others left nursing serious injuries.

According to the owner James ole Mondet, the animals were crossing the busy highway when the incident occurred.

It is reported the trailer driver sped-off after the accident in the incident that caused a major traffic snarl-up.

Another witness Mike ole Kara-Tina added that the trailer heading to Nakuru from Naivasha was in high speed.

Last year, 32 cattle and sheep were knocked down and killed on the same spot by a speeding trailer.
