Kenya sets stage for regional innovation boom with 2025 Tech Summit launch
This summit, scheduled for March 8 to March 12, 2025, promises to bring together thought leaders from sectors like healthcare, education, governance, and beyond to drive Kenya's position as a regional leader in tech and innovation.
The summit aims to promote value-driven collaborations, aligning innovators with Kenya’s economic development goals to foster sustainable growth.
“We’re committed to building impactful partnerships that support Kenya’s long-term progress,” stated Victor Otieno, CEO of Viffa Consult.
One of the summit’s core objectives is to create a more inclusive environment for innovation, especially among grassroots sectors like the jua kali (informal) industry, which plays a pivotal role in addressing Kenya’s socio-economic challenges.
“There is a dire need for platforms that support innovation, and this summit aims to include all players, formal and informal alike,” remarked Nyamai Wambua, Head of Programs and Linkages at the Kenya National Federation of Jua Kali Associations.
In addition to the March event, Innovate Kenya is set to roll out grassroots community engagement activities in the coming months.
With voices from both formal and informal sectors, Innovate Kenya Tech Summit 2025 aims to empower Kenyans, unlock new avenues for development, and nurture a culture of innovation that will propel Kenya’s economy into the future.
