Portuguese footballer Cristiano
Ronaldo and his partner, Spanish model Georgina Rodriguez, have announced that
they’re expecting twins.
The couple took to Instagram to make
the revelation to their combined 388 million followers; 360 million for Ronaldo
and 28 million for Rodriguez.
“Delighted to announce we are
expecting twins. Our hearts are full of love - we can’t wait to meet you,”
wrote the couple.
Alongside the news was a photo of the couple together holding up baby scan photos.
This will be Ronaldo’s second set
of twins, making him a father to six children.
Ronaldo's oldest son Cristiano
Jnr was born in the United States on June 17, 2010 but was immediately taken
back to Madrid to be raised in Spain. The identity of his mother remains
anonymous by her request, according to the star.
A surrogate mother then gave
birth to a pair of Ronaldo’s twins, daughter Eva and son Mateo, on June 8, 2017,
also in America.
One month later, Ronaldo
announced his first child with Rodriguez, Alana Martina, who was born on November
12, 2017.
The Spanish beauty and the footballer
met while she was working as a retail assistant in Madrid, as they caught eyes at
a Gucci event in 2016.
Rodriguez has followed the
five-time Ballon d'Or winner from Madrid to Turin and then Manchester, as he
left Real Madrid for Juventus and then made his return to Manchester United.
The superstar has established
himself as one of the sport’s greatest players of all time, often drawing
comparison to Argentinian superstar Lionel Messi.
