Hotel Review: Amani Tiwi Beach Resort

Amani Tiwi Beach Resort is a breathtaking four star development in Diani offering a beautiful blend of eco, African and Swahilli influences with a white sandy beach overlooking the Indian Ocean.

Amani being reference to Kenya’s Swahili language is a word that means peace but according to the resort it was a name picked “with a simple yet had a profound meaning, ‘Purity’.”

The resort is tastefully furnished and equipped with modern amenities to provide more breathing room for couples and groups.

Speaking to the facility General Manager Mr. Aditya Mata, Amani Tiwi has progressed extensively in the last 6-8 months.
This was surprising given the downward trend and the hit the tourism sector took following travel advisories issued by some European countries.

Amani Tiwi also offers variety of foods. This cuts across a taste of the local African and Arabic blend to the continental foods across the region.

Amani Tiwi offers a wide range of food but specially leans on the seasonal foods in a bid to supply freshness.

Mr Aditya however attributed their growth which he says had doubled from last year to the scenic nature of Amani Tiwi.
He further adds that service delivery as key since this ensures no over promising and under delivery is experienced by the client.

While seeking to learn more about the resort, we learnt that this ‘Paradise under African Skies’, as what they refer to it suffered a devastating fire where over 80% of the property was destroyed.
“It has not been an easy task with many challenges on the way, but we can truly say that the creation of Amani Tiwi Beach Resort has been a labour of love. “
“We wanted to build a place where guests feel at home, a place that has something for everyone; be it a family holiday, adventure, romance or simply business.” Says Amani Tiwi Management .

With charges ranging from Sh3,500 to Sh125,000, Amani Tiwi provides an affordable range for Kenyans to come and enjoy.

Amani Tiwi also has a private beach and that is relatively quiet and away from the usual noisy beaches.
