Sol Fest early bird tickets already sold out
As the end of the year fast approaches, Kenyan music lovers are counting down the days to the
now annual ‘Sol Fest’ - a pure Sauti Sol and Sol Generation mélange of energetic rhythms.
The celebrated Grammy Award-winning quartet has announced that they have already sold out limited early bird tickets ahead of the much-anticipated concert.
The boy band publicized the annual festival, slated for December 17, 2022 at Fox Drive – Inn, on Thika Road, promising their diehard fans “something bigger, better and nothing short of dope.”
Other ticket purchase categories for the highly awaited ‘Sol Fest’ extravaganza include: Regular, Regular
Couples, VIP, VIP Couples, and Golden Circle - a singular ticket with exclusive
vicinity to the stage and re-entry to the regular section.
The high flying local-based international Afro-pop band, which has highlighted its enormous talent in different countries
across the globe, curated their own label’s festival in 2021.
Just as the lyrics in one of their hit songs says, “Sauti Sol in addi area kumechacha,
karibuni kwenye extravaganza…”
In December 2021, Sol Generation Records made history as
the inaugural live gig sold out over 5,000 tickets four days to the D-Day.
Lead vocalist Bien-Aime Baraza, later confirmed that Sol
Fest 2021 saw an attendance of over 6,000 concert goers.
“Sol Fest happened and we had over 6,000 people in
attendance. We couldn’t sell any more tickets because it would have been
unreasonable for the experience considering the location and the capacity it
could hold,” he said on NTV’s The Trend show.
“The proof is in the pudding. We have shown that Kenyans
are all about supporting Kenyan music. Kenyans are happier when they come out
for a night to enjoy what is theirs.”
Other acts and performances to be featured in the upcoming
event are yet to be announced. But I mean, for this second edition, kosa
uchekwe!
