Singer Muigai wa Njoroge celebrates Valentine's Day with his two wives

There is a well-known expression in the Kikuyu language that locals use to caution against polygamy. Loosely translated, it says that two wives are like two boiling cauldrons of poison.

So anyone who can navigate the trappings of love, keep his two wives happy, and still steer the marriage(s) is celebrated.

Kikuyu musician Muigai Wa Njoroge made headlines on February 14 after celebrating the day with his two wives, Njeri and Queen Stacey, proving that the said boiling cauldron of poison was nothing more than a beautiful love potion boiling over.

Muigai could be seen kissing his two wives, albeit one after the other, in several photos shared on Facebook.

"Good morning my freds.. Today being a valentine's day  I would like to celebrate my girls," Muigai captioned a smattering of photos.

According to Muigai, for the relationship to work, his wives had to make a decision to be make him happy, to be patient with him, to support him and to fight for him.

He admitted that the clockwork that keeps his marriage ticking is partly due to the nature and demeanor of his two wives.

"My wives made a decision against selfishness, against hatred, hearts like these, and at a time like this are rare," Muigai wrote on Facebook.

"May God help me bring my wives exaltation, may God bless these wives of Muigai, they are the reason behind my success,"

Long before Valentine's Day, his two wives still existed as a unit, eliciting mixed reactions from their social media sisterhood, frequently tagging one another and seemingly coexisting peacefully.

Muigai married Stacey, his second wife, after splitting from Njeri over a domestic dispute. They eventually reconciled, and she returned to him only to discover that he had remarried and chose to remain.
