Sanaipei Tande's father Manasseh Lemaiyian dies
Celebrated
musician, actor and media personality Sanaipei Tande has lost her father, Manasseh
Lemaiyian Tande.
Mr
Tande died on Friday, October 13 after a brief illness, his family said in his obituary.
They
described him as a remarkable man who touched their hearts with his love and
kindness.
“Manasseh’s
life was an inspiring testament to strength and resilience, leaving an
indelible mark on the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing him. His
memory will forever warm our hearts,” the family said.
Mr
Tande is survived by his wife Lucy, Sanaipei’s brother Saimi and two grandchildren.
He will
be laid to rest on Thursday, October 19 at the family’s residence in Matasia,
Kajiado County.
At
press time, Sanaipei had yet to publicly comment on her father’s passing on but
in previous talks and media interviews, the ‘Amina’ singer has narrated growing
up in a close-knit family which she describes as “an unmatched support system
that has been there from day one.”
In a
recent speech the celebrated artist gave on the Engage Talk stage, Ms Tande
hailed her father as an upstanding man who taught her to be truthful.
“My
father is an upstanding dad and an amazing man, diligent, hardworking and
honest. He is a people person,” she says in the speech published online last Thursday,
a day before Mr Tande’s passing.
“He is
liberal but firm; liberal enough for you to know that there is love and firm
enough for you to know he is in control.”
