RMS stars Jeff Koinange, Mike Njenga, Nick Odhiambo open up about valentines

Everyone deserves to be loved in one way or the other, the reason we went around talking to RMS staff on their feelings towards this special day for lovebirds. 

Celebrated news anchor Jeff Koinange says for him Valentine is a day to show love to those you care about, and he is always old school. He takes it 'seriously'.

Regarding the imaginary men's conference, Jeff says he doesn't subscribe to that.

"I think it is an excuse not to take their loved ones for a treat," Jeff says. 

Radio Citizen presenter Melody Sinzore says that she has never had a bad Valentines' experience but currently she is not expecting much on this wapendanao day.

She reminds ladies that there is no Men's Conference and so they should expect to be treated properly by their loved ones. 

"I have no particular experience about Valentines Day. I can't say there has been a time I have been disappointed or overly excited about the day. Men's Conference chairman Mzee Kibor has said this year there is no conference. Msituchanganye tafadhali."

Melody believes there are a lot of Kenyan men who are romantic and know how to treat women well. 

She urged fellow ladies to also treat their men the way they want to be treated. 

Hot 96 host Nick Odhiambo says every day is Valentines for him.

"There is nothing really special about it. It is just like any other day. 

He, however, says people should not dismiss the day entirely as it helps rekindle love among many.

Inooro TV Mike Njenga says he once had a really bad Valentines experience. He was fresh from college when his then-girlfriend stood him up. 

They had planned to meet but she never showed up until today. 

Njenga however, says his best Valentines experience was when he married in January 2016. His first Valentines after a long time was with his wife. 

On Men's Conference, he says:

"This issue is because we've monitized the whole Valentine idea and we have made it to be something really expensive. It shouldn't be expensive."
