Kababa: Female Tiktoker excites male followers with sultry messages
Sandy Kahush who speaks directly into the camera, addressing a fictional character she calls 'Kababa', has wowed many with her seductive allure and soothing voice.
In one such video, Sandy calmly lightens up, smiles enticingly, and then purrs, "Hi Kababa. How was your day? What did you eat for lunch? Have you gotten home already? Did you miss me? I did. I missed you..."
And in another video, she says, "Hi Kababa. Good Morning. How was your night? I thought about you. I'll tell you about it later. Always drink water and don't forget to think about me..."
In her characteristic tone and suggestive gestures, Sandy will normally end her videos by blowing a kiss to the viewer.
The sensuous tone, alluring messaging and playful nature has seen Sandy's popularity shoot through the roof with many, especially men, thanking her for 'stepping in' and saving them from loneliness and romantic deprivation.
Many have also praised her for the unique brand of content creation - short, precise and pleasurably engaging.
She has particularly won over the internet by infusing the pet name "Kababa", appealing to her male audience by appearing to directly - and sensually - address them.
Besides just saying hi, Sandy also regualry throws in some advice, reminding "Kababa" to adhere to several daily routines.
"Hi Kababa, how are you? I'm just checking up on you and reminding you to pray. Did you pray today? You should pray. Don't forget to pray, okay?" she says in one such video.
While many have found her content heartwarming, some have also found it cringeworthy, with many, especially women, castigating her mannerisms and voice too.
"This is the most cringeworthy content I've come across. It's so pretentious and unreasonable. I can't stand that voice!" someone said on X.
Someone else noted, "I'm not one to judge lakini if you find comfort in a total stranger calling you "Kababa" while talking to you in a motherly tone like youre a child on the Internet... you might have some unresolved mummy issues."
Her admirers, however, see it differently. Martin Kamau posted, "Single guys like me need some Sandy Kahush in their life. In fact, men need a woman like Sandy. A woman who checks on you and genuinely cares about your welfare. Not the kind of women who make your life harder."
So popular has her videos become that Kenyans are now creating their own hilarious parodies based on her content.
Comedians Mammito and Terence Creative have both jumped on the bandwagon while singer Tuku Kantu, of Vijana Barubaru, has also composed a song specifically dedicated to her.
Her Tiktok account, too, has been growing exponentially. She currently boasts over 230k followers and a staggering 2.8 million likes.
