Popular Nairobi nightclub Blacky’z Lounge has been put up for auction.

According to a Tuesday gazette notice penned by Philips International Auctioneers, the Hurlingham-based discotheque located along Arwings Kodhek Road, will be sold off to the highest bidder via a public auction.

The property’s title is registered in the name of Frank Logistics Limited and it sits on a 0.469-acre parcel of land.

It is yet to be established the reason behind the planned public auction but the hotel and hospitality industries has been one of the most affected sectors ever since Covid-19 first hit the country. The sector has however been making a gradual comeback.

"The plot is developed with a single storey main club block and a double-storey kitchen block. Mains electricity and piped water supply are connected to the property,” the notice read in part.

“Foul drainage is into the mains Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company sewer line. Water tanks are provided.”

The announcement comes just a few days after the High Court ruled to have Dusit Complex auctioned over a Ksh. 5 billion debt.
