Eric Omondi raises funds for 'wrong' bridge in Kisii before being alerted
This is how it started.
Recently, a very disturbing video went viral where a small school girl was captured crossing a dilapidated lengthy bridge across a heavy river, with water running beneath it ferociously.
The bridge is build from old timber and it is narrow and looks weak. The video is heart-wrenching to watch.
Eric Omondi, who has lately turned a philanthropist, went down to Kisii to look for the schoolgirl and the bridge, with the aim of building a better bridge.
When he eventually took to social media and shared a video clip of him crossing the said bridge, with a man who claimed to be the father of the little girl, his followers quickly pointed out that he was on the wrong bridge.
Already, Eric had shared a contact of the man and asked his followers to send money so they could build the bridge.
The comedian, however, embarked on finding the correct bridge, and on Wednesday morning, he shared another video and said that was the correct bridge. He, however, said he will build both bridges because they were dangerous for the residents.
Eric was also seen embracing the schoolgirl and urged his followers to do it for her.
That aside, Kenyans have called out the leadership of the area where the two bridges are for doing little to built better bridges.
The bridges cross the humongous River Gucha in Kisii County.
